On November 23, the finals and awards ceremony of the “Fourth Huai’an City Enterprise Science and Technology Innovation Competition and Ninth College Student Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Competition,” co-hosted by the Huai’an Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the Office of the Huai’an Municipal Leading Group for Talent Work, and the Science and Education Industry Development Office of the Huai’an Economic and Technological Development Zone, and organized by the Huai’an High-Tech Innovation Center, were solemnly held at Huai’an Smart Valley.
This competition is themed “Technological Innovation, Achieving Great Endeavors” and is co-hosted by the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the Office of the Municipal Leading Group for Talent Work, and the Science, Education, and Industrial Development Office of the Municipal Economic and Technological Development Zone. Its objectives are to thoroughly implement the major strategic decisions on “mass entrepreneurship and innovation,” integrate innovation and entrepreneurship resources, promote an innovation-and-entrepreneurship culture, foster a conducive environment for such activities, strengthen the close integration of science and technology with finance, attract broader societal support for technological innovation and entrepreneurship, establish a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship services, accelerate the cultivation of innovative, practice-oriented talent, and provide robust support for the implementation of our city’s innovation-driven development strategy and for high-quality economic growth.
In his address, Sun Zhibiao, Party Secretary and Director of the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, highly praised the competition, noting that this grand innovation event—themed “Pooling Strength for Innovation, Thriving Huai’an”—fully showcases enterprises’ pioneering spirit in leading the wave of “mass entrepreneurship and innovation,” while also highlighting the vigor, dynamism, and creativity of today’s young students.
Sun Zhibiao stated that innovation is the ladder of national progress, and entrepreneurship is the defining theme of our times. He expressed the hope that entrepreneurs and college students alike will carry forward their journey of innovation and entrepreneurship with three guiding principles: first, “Ten thousand years is far too long—let us seize the day,” emphasizing the need for keen insight to recognize opportunities and the willingness to make sacrifices; second, “With confidence in ourselves for two hundred years, we shall brave the waves and surge three thousand li,” underscoring the importance of unwavering self-assurance and the courage to overcome formidable challenges; and third, “It is precisely through sacrifice that our aspirations grow ever loftier; let us dare to transform the sun and moon into a new heaven,” highlighting the indomitable willpower and steadfast commitment required to persevere no matter how many setbacks one may face.
Following the launch of the competition, the organizing committee received more than 60 entries from technology enterprises (and teams) across Huai’an City. These projects span a wide range of industries and fields, which will help accelerate the clustering and development of Huai’an’s advantageous and distinctive industries.
The competition is divided into three categories: the Enterprise Category, the Category for Introduced R&D Institutions and Entrepreneurial Teams Based in Huai’an, and the University Student Category. The project selection process consists of three stages: the Preliminary Round, the Semi-Final, and the Final. The Organizing Committee has invited entrepreneurship mentors, investment and financing experts, technology entrepreneurs, and specialists from various emerging fields to form the judging panel, which conducts the selection in accordance with the competition’s evaluation procedures and scoring criteria.
In the final round, Chairman Zhao of Yuanjie Water Treatment leveraged the company’s expertise and highlighted the unique features of its products to create a beautifully designed PowerPoint presentation. His speech was delivered with passionate enthusiasm and eloquence, seamlessly blending depth with clarity and conveying heartfelt emotion. Chairman Zhao shared his insightful perspectives on the application areas of disc membrane technology, and his compelling presentation earned him enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Based on the scoring criteria, the judging panel conducted on-site evaluations of the contestants’ overall performance across several dimensions, including innovation, language proficiency, and PowerPoint presentation quality. Following a fiercely competitive process, the winning enterprises were ultimately selected.
Water treatment is a major application area for disc-type membranes, with extensive research and development on their preparation and application in processes such as microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), and membrane bioreactors (MBR). In recent years, numerous disc-type membrane products tailored for water purification have also been developed.
Characteristics of the disc film:
●The membrane material is polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), with a pore size of 0.001 to 0.02 μm.
●The primary function of the filter membrane is to remove various suspended particles (≥2 μm), colloids (≥0.1 μm), and bacteria (≥0.2 μm) from the raw water. It offers high filtration accuracy, superior and stable effluent quality, and strong resistance to shock loads.
● The membrane surface is hydrophilically treated to prevent pore blockage and minimize the accumulation of surface contaminants.
●The filtration unit of the membrane module consists of multiple filter membranes; in the event of damage, only the individual damaged membrane needs to be replaced, which simplifies operation, conserves resources, and reduces replacement costs. The entire membrane module features an open-design structure, facilitating cleaning and maintenance. The membrane adhesive is a single-component moisture-curing polyurethane hot-melt adhesive (PUR), characterized by high initial strength, excellent thermal-viscosity stability, superior final strength, good water resistance, and outstanding weather resistance.
