General Secretary Xi pointed out in the report to the 20th National Congress that we must fully, accurately, and comprehensively implement the new development philosophy, uphold the direction of reform of the socialist market economy, pursue high-standard opening-up, and accelerate the establishment of a new development pattern featuring domestic circulation as the mainstay and mutual promotion between domestic and international circulations.
General Secretary Xi emphasized the need to take promoting high-quality development as the overarching theme, seamlessly integrate the strategy of expanding domestic demand with deepening supply-side structural reform, enhance the quality and level of international economic circulation, accelerate the building of a modernized economic system, focus on raising total factor productivity, strengthen the security and resilience of industrial and supply chains, advance integrated urban–rural development and balanced regional development, and thereby achieve both qualitative improvement and reasonable quantitative growth in the economy.
Build a high-standard socialist market economy. Uphold and improve the basic socialist economic system; unswervingly consolidate and develop the public sector while unswervingly encouraging, supporting, and guiding the development of the non-public sector; give full play to the decisive role of the market in resource allocation; and better leverage the role of the government.
In mid-December this year, the 2022 China Top 100 Women Entrepreneurs Summit will be held. The hundred outstanding Chinese women entrepreneurs will remain committed to hard work and perseverance, writing remarkable chapters in their lives; they will forge ahead with unwavering determination and steadfast dedication, contributing the strength of women to the realization of the Second Centenary Goal and the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.
General Secretary Xi has expressed earnest expectations for women in all sectors of society, urging them to be builders of great undertakings, promoters of civilized customs, and strivers who dare to pursue their dreams. Inspired and motivated by the spirit of General Secretary Xi’s important speech, the “100 Outstanding Women” are now fulfilling their role as social organizations. Under the guidance of the All-China Women’s Federation, they have contributed to the revitalization of rural industries, providing two consecutive years of support for the economic development of Xihe County in Gansu Province by helping to build an e-commerce center and facilitating the purchase of local agricultural products worth over RMB 500,000; for five consecutive years, they have provided financial aid to university students from financially disadvantaged families at the China Women’s University, awarding scholarships totaling RMB 500,000 to 100 students; and for 18 consecutive years, they have organized cross-strait and Hong Kong–Macao exchange activities for women entrepreneurs, continuously strengthening patriotic sentiments and playing a unique “half-the-sky” role in embarking on a new journey and achieving new accomplishments.
