Electronic Water Treatment Device

  Electronic Water Treatment Device

  Overview

With the accelerating pace of China’s modernization, the application of various industrial recirculating water and cooling systems has become increasingly widespread. During operation, the water in these cooling and recirculating systems inevitably gives rise to three major problems: scaling, microbial and algal growth, and corrosion. These issues lead to reduced heat transfer efficiency, shortened equipment service life, and, in severe cases, equipment perforation, pipeline blockage, and even forced shutdowns. Unfortunately, neglecting water quality treatment remains a prominent and widespread problem in the management of recirculating water systems in China.

Due to regional environmental conditions and water quality, equipment pipelines are prone to corrosion, and large populations of bacteria and algae can proliferate in the water, posing risks to daily production and living activities. While traditional chemical methods can prevent or remove scale, they are costly, labor-intensive, and environmentally harmful. The YJD series electronic water treatment device has been meticulously developed to address these challenges, employing high-frequency electromagnetic technology to comprehensively treat water and effectively achieve scale removal, scale prevention, and bactericidal and algicidal functions.

The YJD-type electronic water treatment device employs a purely physical method, utilizing composite alternating-current technology to generate a high-frequency electromagnetic field that treats water. This process alters the physical structure of the water without changing its chemical composition, thereby achieving scale prevention, scale removal, and disinfection and algae control. It is highly efficient, safe, economical, and environmentally friendly, with advanced technological capabilities and a long service life, requiring no dedicated operator. With a one-time investment yielding lifelong benefits, it is an ideal water treatment solution.

The YJD series electronic water treatment units are available in four models to meet varying water quality conditions and customer requirements: fully automatic, anti-corrosion and rust-removal, automatic blowdown, and electric blowdown. These units are suitable for a wide range of water systems, including air-conditioning chilled-water systems, industrial cooling-water systems, heat-exchange systems, domestic water systems, and municipal water supply systems.

  Working Principle

  ▋Descaling and Anti-scaling

Based on the electromagnetic principles formulated by Dr. Hendrik Lorentz, a Nobel laureate in Physics from Belgium, and drawing on extensive research and practical experience in multiple technologies, a new-generation, multifunctional high-frequency electronic water treatment device has been successfully developed. By leveraging modern electronic technology and molecular surface energy rearrangement techniques, this device enables water to absorb high-frequency electromagnetic energy, thereby altering its physical structure without changing its chemical composition. Specifically, the original hydrogen-bonded chain-like macromolecules are broken down into individual water molecules, while the positive and negative ions of dissolved salts become surrounded by these single water molecules, leading to reduced ion mobility, fewer effective collisions, and diminished electrostatic attraction. As a result, calcium and magnesium ions in the water can no longer combine with carbonate ions to form calcium carbonate or magnesium carbonate, thus achieving scale inhibition. At the same time, because the water absorbs a large number of energized electrons, its dipole moment increases, enhancing its affinity for the positive and negative ions of salts. This, in turn, gradually softens and eventually causes existing scale deposits on pipe walls to loosen and detach, delivering effective descaling performance.

  ■Bactericidal and Algaecidal

High-frequency electromagnetic waves induce turbulent flow in water, disrupting ion channels in cell membranes and altering the intracellular ion fluxes and environmental conditions necessary for cellular homeostasis, thereby compromising cell viability and leading to cell death. Simultaneously, the activated water molecules encapsulate and immobilize dissolved oxygen in the water, effectively cutting off the oxygen supply required for microbial metabolic processes and thus achieving robust bactericidal and algicidal effects while preventing the formation of biological sludge.

  ■Corrosion Prevention and Rust Removal

When a body of water is exposed to high-frequency electromagnetic energy, individual water molecules encapsulate the dissolved oxygen molecules, converting the dissolved oxygen into inert oxygen and thereby cutting off the oxygen supply required for metal corrosion. At the same time, the “skin effect” generated by the suspended composite-modulated electromagnetic field induced by the high-frequency electromagnetic waves causes an excess of negative charges to accumulate on the pipe wall, while an excess of positive charges accumulates within the water. These excess positive charges in the water strongly repel positively charged Fe⁺ ions, preventing Fe from losing electrons to form Fe⁺ and thus inhibiting Fe from leaching out of the metal wall.

Separation occurs upon entry into the water (the yellow rust-colored water produced in the system is due to Fe+ ions imparting color). Simultaneously, excess electrons on the pipe wall continuously attract positively charged Fe+ ions, hindering their dissolution into the water. As a result, the pre-existing Fe2O3 (red rust) on the pipe wall is reduced to a highly corrosion-resistant black oxide film, Fe3O4.
